Cookies

verticaledgeai.ai does not use cookies. This page explains what we do instead, what third-party services we rely on, and what that means for you under EU and US privacy law. Last updated: 2026-05-28.

1. We do not use cookies

The verticaledgeai.ai marketing site does not set any cookies. We do not use browser-tracking pixels, fingerprinting techniques, local storage for analytics purposes, session identifiers, or any cross-context behavioral advertising tags (no Facebook Pixel, no Google Ads tag, no LinkedIn Insight, no TikTok Pixel, no retargeting). The Site is intentionally cookie-less.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to remember things between visits — login state, preferences, or activity for advertising. They are the most common building block of online tracking. Most websites use many; ours uses none.

3. Analytics

The Site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for privacy-preserving traffic measurement. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and does not use cross-site tracking, fingerprinting, or persistent identifiers. It collects only aggregated, sampled signals — page URL, referrer, country, browser type, screen size — to help us understand which content draws interest. No individual visitor is identified or profiled, and no data is shared with advertising networks.

Cloudflare also serves as the Site’s content delivery network and security layer; Cloudflare Web Analytics is processed by the same infrastructure that already fronts the Site, so no additional third-party data flow is introduced. Cloudflare’s privacy posture: cloudflare.com/web-analytics-privacy.

Beyond analytics, the only third-party service that runs during a normal page load is fonts.bunny.net to serve our typography (EB Garamond, Inter, JetBrains Mono). Bunny Fonts is a GDPR-aligned mirror of Google Fonts that does not log requests, does not set cookies, and does not pass identifying information to Google. Bunny’s privacy posture is at bunny.net/legal/privacy.

4. Why this matters under EU and US privacy law

EU ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)) requires opt-in consent before storing non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies on a user’s device. Because the Site does not store anything on your device, no consent banner is required and none is shown.

California CCPA / CPRA and the comprehensive state privacy laws (Texas TDPSA, Connecticut CTDPA, Colorado CPA, Virginia VCDPA, Utah UCPA, Maryland MODPA, and others) require disclosure of tracking technologies and opt-out mechanisms for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because the Site does not engage in tracking or behavioral advertising, no opt-out mechanism is required; this disclosure itself satisfies the transparency expectation.

5. If we ever change this

If a future Site feature requires a cookie (for example, a session token for a gated download, or a preference for a future dark-mode toggle), we will: (a) update this page before deploying the feature; (b) add an appropriate consent mechanism for EU/UK visitors per ePrivacy; and (c) update the Privacy Policy with the corresponding sub-processor disclosure.
